When was the last time your vet checked

I have a small yard, some horses are chipped others are not, none of them have ever been checked by a vet at any time, the one exception was a pony I sold that was checked during vetting.
The passports are now being checked to ensure the section 9 is filled in before any treatment is done.

Never although he is chipped. It's not mandatory to have older horses chipped anyway is it?

At he vaccination last week the vet did check his passport for the first time to see if he was signed out of the food chain and he wasn't  I thought I had signed him out years ago, he is now though.

About nine weeks ago when he was vetted.

Passported my last horse when it became law to do so (2005?) and no vet ever asked to see it, even for her yearly jabs which carried on being entered onto the card she'd had since she was born in 1997.

I always get them checked for a chip at purchase then if they have not been chipped I get them done then they get checked once after that then never no reason to really.

When he put them in and did their passports, so 2003 and 2010
I always use the same vet so I suppose it's not unsuprising that he hasn't checked since
But I do think it is probably correct that best practice says that it should be checked and the passport whenever treating
