When will it end!?!

Phew, when will ragwort stop popping up all over the place in my field! Over the last few months have been regularly digging the stuff up after a flowering plant was nearby and I checked it today, only to discover another 8 or 10 rossettes that needed digging up. =C

We have been here 13 years and have never "seen" any ragwort. However, it continues to appear in the odd spot on a regular basis. We dig it up as soon as we see the rosette but it still turns up, year after year, after year! By the way, there are no ragwort plants within shouting distance.

It's deep in the soil I reckon...??

Yes, quite possibly... If people don't dig up all the roots apparently it can re-grow from the roots left in the soil. =C

A ragwort seed can remain dormant in the ground for many years.

One year's seeds, seven years' weeds... and I'd add 'at least' to that.
