Every time our paddocks look like they're starting to dry out nicely, back it comes. We've got a river that's burst its banks & fields are flooded & ducks & geese are swimming on them!

Yesterday we had to mend the new fencing because the fields have been so waterlogged the posts havent had a chance to settle!!

I was thinking how much I was looking forward to Summer and then I remembered all the bloody flies and horse flies!!

So I think we should appreciate each time of year for what it is.

Yup it is wet and yucky but there are no flies and at least the groud isn't going to give your horses joint concussion!!

as much as i hate the rain, i took my boy into the school today and he was an absolute t1t!
then the heavens opened, and down it chucks, great big soaking wet (obviously) huge rain drops! and miraculously (sp?) turns into an awesome dressage pony.
I'm sure it was just him thinking 'the sooner i get working, the sooner i get to finish', however, i am now truly considering installing a sprinkler system over the school!!
what do you think?
 
I'm fed up with winter full stop, rain, mud, wind, coldness, churned up fields and always doing the horses in the dark! Bring on summer!
 
The heavens have opened again it has been raining all morning where i am (west yorkshire) i am fed up with the mud, the rain well the weather full stop!
I will ride in the rain as i would have no option as i don't have indoor facilities but both me and my horse are more fair weather riders haha
 
I just couldn't bring myself to ride today, it is cold, wet, and I thought sod it

we had bad floods yesterday which eventually went down by this morning, then it started to rain again!

. We were going for a long hack today but I've decided against it, as the river's rising so fast we really do not fancy getting marooned.
