Horribly icy atm and was quite smug about getting my new boot grips on to bring horse in from field yesterday aft. Got back to yard to realise I'd lost one somewhere within the last 500m. My night vision isn't so great so decided to look for it this morning.

Put horse out this morning sans boot grips, it turns out I'm not quite the figure skater I'd hoped. Found boot grip within 2 mins and was feeling quite smug again, until I realised I was missing my stallion chain from when I put horse out.

Despite me swearing I'd put the chain down roughly in a certain place, a few lovely liveries nearby began to help me in my search. We searched everywhere on the crispy white grass for a shiny chain. They questioned my mind and weren't too convinced I hadn't imagined putting it on! :D

Came back to start the search for chain this aft and was kindly loaned a metal detector. Turns out I've no idea to use one as apparently my horses head is made of metal (I got slightly bored!). Anyway, eventually found chain in the place I was sure I'd put it and was back to feeling smug again.

Then I realised I've lost part of the metal detector........ I'm dreading tomorrow!

Anyone else being senile or is it just me?! (Please don't let it just be me!)

Oh god! It's not just me then!!

I lost a (borrowed) hoof pick..spent ages looking for it but couldn't find it (even though it was bright pink against brown somewhere..).
When doing waters, found hoof pick and got back to my car to realised I lost my house keys!
In the search for my house keys i've found 3 horse shoes, another hoof pick, a ukulele (??!!) and a weird metal canister thing...

I got in my car to drive home from the yard the other day..and there were my keys in the cup holder where they always are..sigh

hah! was going to be really mean and say it's just you but i put my hoof pick in the fridge today along with a carrot and spent ages grubbing around in the dirt looking for it only to find it when i went to make a cuppa coz i'd frozen my butt off looking for the damn thing.

got my mum a box of chocolates from Amazon for christmas called Senior Moments!!! get us some too shall i?!!!! x

This makes me happy lol! So glad I'm not alone. :)

I thought I was having a couldn't see the forest for the trees moment, turns out I was! I should get you up here to find all my missing stuff (I'll hold your keys for you :D).

Who doesn't keep their hoof pick in the fridge?! Double it up as a cuppa stirrer! Yes, I think a few of those choccies are in order. I spent 10 mins looking for my coat this morning, turns out I was already wearing it.....

All sounds like an ordinary day to me. The worst I've done is spending ten minutes looking for something only to realise I've got it in my hand - idiotic or what! !

Argh! It's always the borrowed things that go walkies!

Most horsy and household tasks take me 5x as long as the recommended time as I keep leaving things in places and having to walk back to get them. Tiring!
