Need to find positive head and snap out of it

Any ideas???

*gives kick_On a slap*

sort it out girl!!!!!! you will be fine, ive told you already. Your instructor wouldnt have asked you to ride her horse if she didnt think you were capable.

Just because your lesson didnt go aswell as you wanted last night dosent mean you are rubbish, because you're NOT.

You will be totally fine, honestly xx

Go and watch Seabiscuit and get some friends to give you some fun lessons!!

Watch lots of videos and dvd's of dressage!!

If it makes you feel better, I always ride like a sack of potatoes as I have an iffy vertabrae in my back!! Just remain effective and enjoy xxxx

Come on buddy get it together, as PG said your trainer wouldn't have put you forward if she didn't think you were up to it.

Head held high girlie and go for it...

mmmm like idea of that, but it could sent me into a deep hole looking at perfection

Video youself - we bought a video camera recently as OH was getting fed up of me thinking whenever I rode it was s**te. I can now see for myself what's going on - picked up loads of pointers for myself and when I look back at stuff it doesn't actually look as bad as I thought it felt. It has been a huge help for me!

definately second the videoing. I recently brought a video and got mum to video my lesson on sunday and watching it back i learnt loads from it, it really is mega useful x

ta - that's a grand plan - did do that back in summer.
Just coming back into flatwork really, been a 'hedge hopper' over winter 'do or bust stuff' and don't have to think about position and correct flexion stuff etc......

i usually resort to chocolate! The video idea is a good one tho, I might try that for myself. I keep feeling like a total sack of potatoes at the moment! As others have said, your instructor wouldnt have offered you the ride if she didn't think you were good enough

I have found the same with the video - never looks as bad as I think it will be!

If you are like me I have a very good memory for what went wrong and the bits that went right are forgotten straight away! Watching it back seems to put everything into perspective.
