I've been looking for a loan horse for a while and have found a lack of them recently. Is it just me being picky etc or are there less loans at present? with a big recession i thought more people would be loaning but seems everybody wants to share!

Just a moan really....the right one will come along at the right time....

Would try asking round your horsey friends etc, word is bound to get around, I loaned my semi-retired mare out a couple of years ago this way (would not dream of of loaning via an ad to a stranger), good luck think this might be the best way of going about it!

My YM found my loan horse on facebook. I hadn't even sold my horse at that point, they had literally just put the ad on so we were the first people to contact them, he was 5 minutes down the road and has so far been perfect. The right one will come along for you x

No it's not just you
Shame I'm not looking for a companion!
Blah blah blah has won Olympics but now looking for happy light hackng home
(with picture of it jumping the moon!)

There's a fb group called Horses and bits for sale, swap or loan Beds and surrounding area. Might be worth trying as you appear to be in Herts
Good Luck

There have been loads of loans on Facebook - essex horse riders, if op you are in Hertfordshire it should bring something up not too far?

I have a 15.2hh Arab...please take him away!

He is 8 but very green.
Sweet but a bolshy monkey
He hates travelling (patience is paramount)
Fantastic to hack
He has been in a field all winter and is very UNFIT
He is very beautiful
He likes to do the Arab head tossing because he is worth it
He loves his food and will snaffle anything he can get hold of

I love him and would never sell him, but would be really chuffed to find someone who can enjoy him.

I know of one in Doncaster 15h gypsy cob 5 yr old broken sensible hack school etc however she can be quite bargy on the ground but the firm experienced handling she is fine

Is it just me that doesn't understand the concept of 'loaning'? Why is it people are after something for nothing? I have a horse for sale and am bombarded with requests to loan her. I think I'll pop down to M&S and see if they'll 'loan' me the boots I've got my eye on x

Been trying to loan my boys for ages but no one wants them :( given up and left them to roam now... May try again in the summer but I dont want him to go far away and Im kinda picky about people lol!
