Currently looking for a mother/daughter share small hunter/all rounder but can't find many advertised! I realise there probably won't be many for sale during the hunt season and a lot are sold through word of mouth, but when they are advertised what are the most likely places?

When I was window shopping came across website called fieldmasters, no idea of their reputation but they specialise in hunters, or horse and hound for sale section or possibly horsequest !

Not sure if this is allowed but our hunt has a lovely horse for sale. Been used for the huntsman and also to whip in. Also been visiting other hunts so goes in the field too. Very scopey, great with hounds. Approx 16.2hh, bred to event. Downside is it's in Scotland but did grace the front page of the Telegraph after Boxing day :) send me a PM for info

We bought ours from an ad in the H&H, and noticed in last weeks issue there were several advertised. Or the hunting section on HorseQuest.

Coming to the end of the season more become available, and sometimes gives you the chance to try them on the hunting field.

If we're selling one, we've had the most success with horse quest

Buying. ... we tend to buy from friends/contacts in Ireland -although randomly we have bought 2 of our current lot through horse deals (both 4-5 yrs ago now)

I know of someone who has some nice young stock for sale that go hunting as part of their ridden training. Feel free to PM for details.

I have my eye on a nice bay mare he has ...
