Where are all the oldies?

Why is it that when I want to find a safe reliable older horse the papers are bursting at the seams with 1 and 2 yr olds and loads of unbroken stuff? All I want is something for light hacking , in return for loads of TLC , sheltered fields with company where you can lie out in the sunshine and listen to the babbling brook and the birds sing! , our piece of heaven , somebody out there must have something they'd love to retire to an , experienced , loving home?

Do you have a budget or are you looking for a freebie?

I do have a budget which should stretch beyond what something say between 14 and 18 would resonably cost. ( at the lower age say £2500 max.)
but seriously guys it's not about the money its about finding the right sort , would prefere something native type so cute and cuddly...Lol..

I guess in a way that's a good sign that there are forever homes out there , I've even looked at some of my local sancturies but they either have tinys or injured , I've already got two sanctury tiny's...
