Where are they based?

They are in Lancashire just outside of Lancaster. They have their own website.

The Huntsman & his son had a day out with us last week too!

As k9h says the Vale of Lune Harriers hunt mainly in North Lancashire along the valley between Kirkby Lonsdale and Lancaster, though our country also extends into South Cumbria and onto the Fylde plain.

Some photos from the joint meet this last weekend are now online on the Vale of Lune website (http://www.vlhunt.com/). The caption on our frontpage was a remark from one of the Blankney riders overheard by one of our foot followers.

About 20-odd came down from the Vale altogther, either mounted or to foot follow, and we had a great day out - I've never seen our huntsman smile so much when he's on horseback - and very much enjoyed the hospitality. I hope that there'll be plenty of Blankney visitors for the return leg.

Glad you enjoyed yourselves. It was great to see so many of you and we're looking very much to the return trip.

Some good pictures there - but a couple of shockers of me on the grey at the meet. Mind you, he had just tried to roll with me. Nearly split my port.

Those photos are super. Glad you enjoyed the day. There is a super one of my daughter jumping a hedge/rails (No 94). She's only had the horse a few weeks (hence him not being clipped) but she's loving the hunting!

Unfortunately can't make it to you on the 21st - perhaps next year!
