Where can I buy a leather bit?

As intro, I have seen leather bits on the internet but they seem to be made in NZ or Oz are there any manufacturers over here?

Try a proper saddler as they should be able to source one for you. By proper I mean someone like Gibsons of Newmarket (who could well have them in anyway as some racehorses use them) not something like Robinsons.

lol i just looked them up as never heard of them before and got more on ones for ladys than horses lol

Very gentle very hard wearing. I have made one by wrapping a rubber bendy bit in chamois leather, but I need one that is a bit more competition legal. Not the Sprenger one in this case.

I've had several normal snaffles covered in leather by saddlers for me.

They are great for making dry mouthed horses softer and more slobbery, and I like using them on youngsters to encourage them to mouth.
