Where can I buy a roller with a ball hitch for a car/4x4?

Hi folks, this time of year always drives me mad waiting for farmers/friends who say they will roll my fields to turn up and actually do it. I understand they are busy but it can get frustrating.

I'd happily do it myself if we had our own roller to tow behind a car or 4x4. Anyone got one of these? Do you rate them?

Where can I get one from.....I'm determined to become as self sufficient as I can. Cheers.

we have a ballast roller at work and it is big/heavy so we use the land rover to tow it, it is not a patch on the ones they pull behind the tractors, for rolling the heavier the better and TBH I would pay someone to come and do it behind a tractor with a massive roller they do a far better job

I've got a 5' ballast roller, which I tow behind the Shogun. It's not a Logic, but is very similar. It does a decent enough job on our 7 acres, and the best part is that I can get on the ground when it needs doing. One paddock in particular dries out in stages, so I may start rolling the driest section days or weeks before I can get onto the wettest parts.

Used to get the land rolled by a friendly farmer, but as previously said, it can be quite a wait for them (and then the land is too hard to benefit from rolling).

I just tie mine on with an old lunge rope or similar. Ok, you have to be careful when you stop that the roller doesn't run past you,but I have never had an issue as you slow down accordingly! Cheaper than changing the ball to a pin one, too!
