Looked online last month to buy these boots, spoke to the company that made them and decided to give them a call when my old macs were running out, alas now i cant find them anywhere online, please help!!
Hi I have a pair I was going to put on ebay this week. Sold horse , new owners wanted shoes. Let me know what size you were looking for and I will check when I get in as I cant remember offhand what they are but had them on my TB.
Thanks Cuffey will have a look, Ali.... the Old Macs rub my mare so have to use vetwrap everytime i use them, am trying different makes to see which ones are best!
I had the Marquis boots years ago and hated them - they were awkward to put on and very clumpy. I sold them after very little use. I don't think the design has changed since then. The Easyboot Golves are available in bigger size these days and I've just started using them - so far they have been great! http://www.equinepodiatrysupplies.co.uk/easyboot glove.html
Recommend getting the fit kit - mine weren't the sizes I was expecting!
I was sent the wrong size pastern wraps so have not used them, To be fair they probably would help with the rubbing!!! I like the idea of the Marquis having the air pad as with the Old Macs they are fine when she is nearly ready to be trimmed but when she has just been trimmed they sound a bit big, if you know what i mean!
I see that people cannot find a contact number for Marquis Boots. Their number is 01749 343567. I have had my boots for years and find them extremely useful for my two TB ex racehorses.
I have had mine for years. They will fit longer than wide feet as well as round feet. I have replaced the sole plates several times and the air chambers once. It has worked out cheaper in the long run than anything else and I like the breakover on them. They do not seem to interfere with the way my horse moves. I agree they are not as streamlined as the Gloves, but Gloves do not fit my horse.
