Where can I find a project?!

Been searching quite a while now, looked on projecthorses, horsemart, horse deals, h&h - all either too over priced, have vices or have already been sold!

May phone racing yards for 'too slow' racers!

what sort of price range? how big or small? age? what type of project to keep or sell on?any problems you wont take on?

depends what you mean by 'project', we've done quite well financially with real projects from dealers and sales, but these are true, start from scratch projects, admag is a good place to look for cheap ready to ride horses to bring on.

I would also look on the freeads and adtrader as there are always horses for sale on there, probably run down nags though.

www.projecthorses.co.uk - set up just for this sort of query. I have sold some very green or unbroken but nice horses through it, to ensure that the buyers know that work is needed, and no-one is under any illusion.

Put out wanted adverts - they're usually free on most websites. Thats how Ive found all my "project" ponies to date. Let them come to you

2 of the ponies I got through my ad where from people who called who weren't planning to sell but happened to have a pony chucked in a field doing nothing! PS. only 1 of my projects had a vice, all others had nothing wrong with them at all other than they were young and green!

I've looked at 2 horses recently being sold as "ready to go", but both were 2+ year projects! Some sellers have a lot of nerve!
