A puppy information leaflet on miniature daschund puppies. We have some puppies going to their new home on saturday and we want to make sure the new owners have all the information we can give them on their new pets, but where can i find an information leaflet with all the information that i could pass on to them.

Many Thanks to anyone who replies

I always make up my own leaflets, diet sheets, breed related information packs, training advice and have files on the computer with the basics saved so I just print them out now after making any relative alterations and put them in a folder with all the other documentation. It takes a few hours the first time you do it though!
Happy typing!

Ditto what Vizslak said. Personally I've never heard of any ready made information leaflets, let alone breed specific. Some breeders simply writes down some diet advice and maybe when to vaccinate next time but of those breeders I know about that does give their puppy buyers a sort of leaflet, I've only gotten and heard about it being something they've written themselves.

I chose to begin mine with something like ''I don't know everything about dogs but if you run into any sort of problem please contact me and I will do my very best to help.'' Then I wrote some advices for an owner of a puppy/young dog that I thought would work both in general and especially of course for someone with a Finnish Lapphund.
To that I added diet advice, when to vaccinate next time, how to trim claws with a drawing of a claw and where/how to cut and a few other things.

I also checked up a few other things, i.e. in my breed club puppy buyers get one year free membership if the breeder registers them (which I of course did), I made sure they understood that all they needed to do was to fill in their name and post a pre-paid card to become registered as the owner to their ID marked puppy (I later checked on the internet so that it had been done), I asked if they would be interested in being contacted by the insurance company where I insure my bitches, talked about the importance with taking a puppy class etc.

Good luck.

Mine too Cayla! Luckily when it comes to my dogs and pups I love being super super organised! My manual is about 7 pages, then there are breed specific fact sheets and a feeding guide. Some new owners look quite perplexed by all the paperwork!! Luckily I have reports that most read them on the journey home with their pups! I used to be a bit embarrassed by the amount I included (like you I put in a bit about everything I think they may need) I tend to hear back from owners that they have found them very useful though and I'm sure it saves some phone calls dishing out very basic advice because they just have a look to see if the question is answered in the guide (it invariably is!)
