.. That's not double the price of the normal sized versions or like the robinsons bridle I bought has a throat lash 3 x as long as it should be?!
I'm seriously considering making them out of bailing twine
Also need a jointed snaffle but the only bits a can find are straight bar inhand bits or have huge (and i mean huge!!) rings that reach halfway to her eyes so the bridle doesn't fit :|
I can't afford to spend a lot but I need to get her fit

Depending what attachment you need to put on the roller how about a safari cub saddle? They're v cheap on ebay, you can fasten a bigger clip to the d-rings & got the girth to use too. Alternatively you occasionally see individual bits of cheap harness for sale, could use the roller part? Can't help with bridle, friend gave us her retired miniatures complete with bit

If you google "pony bits" or similar there are a few good websites which will come up, with pony sized bit rings, sorry I can't think of any if them right now and don't have time to look, but try it and see, that's how I got my last small pony bit x

Shires do small stuff - I got a lunging roller etc from Total Impact Equestrian who recommended the Shires ones - and it fits perfectly.

bridles - you can get VERY small bridles from Fylde - you can choose the length of the cheek pieces etc and get one exactly the right size.

You can get small cheap bits everywhere on the internet - 4 inch and 4.25 inches are cheap and widely available. Just make sure you go for the ones with small rings which may be advertised as showing bits (as they look nicer than the big ring ones!)

We had to adapt some synthetic side reins to fit, put clips both ends & adjustable bit in middle so they clip to d rings. Not ideal but only lunge her occasionally as regularly ridden. Could post you small child to fitten yours up lol!
