Hi All

Just got my young cob back from being professionally backed so need to focus on his progress but also have my TBXWB mare to bring back to work after a winter off following a major abcess issue !(grr) and am going to be really struggling to do both - am giving serious thought to a sharer for one of them or even someone who is flexible and would like to ride both. Anyway my question really is where did you all find your sharer's please??? My yard owner has been through so many crazies trying to find a sensible sharer for her mare that I'm really put off even starting to advertise for someone, she's had all sorts of strange folk!!??? some of the stories you wouldn't ever beleive!! so please help, where do I start!?!
Many Thanks

I put ads on preloved, NFED (good if you are on the south coast) and equineadverts and found a couple there.

My current sharer I found by trawling through wanted ads, found one that was about 4 months old but it turned out she was still looking.

Also if you're near a university town, try contacting the uni riding team - I found a sharer that way and she was a fantastic little rider (unfortunately couldn't keep up with the share for too long as the distance was too far for her)

Good luck

I used Preloved, ditto having to go through lots of people though who dont understand 'NOT a begginer ride' plus many 10 yo kids who think they could manage a 15hh fell ......
Worth it in the end though, have a great mother and daughter now, the extra help is a godsend
