I have started to help our YO with his 4 year old 12h dale/exmoor, unforntunatley she hasn't had anything done with her for a good few months and has no manners what so ever. She is huge at the moment (a proper fat pony!) and is very bolshy and knows how to push her weight round with you. Today i moved her into the feild with the my horse and the others. She was fine walking up the feild apart from a few head shakes untill she heard the others whinnying then she began to kick out, bite and really push her weight about. When she saw the others her head was straight down and bolted, when she got to the gate she waited for me and let me put her in the feild, she ran round wiith the others foro half an hour then calmed down. I really dont know were to start with her could anyone help????

Next time get someone to go with you each with leadrope on headcollar, sometimes they can get away from you on the leftside ,but not the right etc, once she realises that going up and trying to pull away wont work she will start getting better. I've used a nosechain on my filly and it worked wonders as she was pulling against herself not me and she stopped.
