Where do we look for a chihuahua cross - is there a reputable 'wanted' section?

We have an amazing chihuahua x sausage and are looking for another quirky, friendly chi cross without being irresponsible in terms of breeding. Can anyone recommend where on earth we should start, the online 'classifieds' for mixed breeds seem like such a can of worms but, we have always just 'heard' about dogs we've bought in the past and have been very very lucky. We have a lovely family home to offer but are in South Cornwall, so most viewings are a day out! Thank you in advance

I think you will be lucky to find responsibly bred crossbreeds. I’m not saying they don’t exist, but there are no specific routes as there are with pedigree dogs.

Rehoming, rescue organisations will be your best bet I suspect.

I imagine there must be a breed specific rescue /rehoming service somewhere in the country

If you Google there are a few rescues , some of them rehome all over the country. On pets4homes there are usually ads for chi/jack Russell’s , when I was looking for a small dog there were quite a few. I found the main problem that stopped me being approved by rescues for a small dog was that most of them had to be the only dog and I already had dogs .. so I ended up with a puppy

Also on Preloved. I noticed that when I was looking for a JRT, it seems to be quite a common cross.
