Need to get quite a few bits of horsey stuff before pony arrives in a couple of weeks, and want to keep it all as cheap as possible. Anyone know of anywhere good? I know of Robinsons and Derby House and that's about it! (and i'm pretty sure you could get it all cheaper elsewhere?)

Thanks

Another vote for RideAway. Very helpful and fast delivery. DH is great if you want pink or sparkly but hopeless for everyday useful horse stuff.

A word of warning from my experience, cheap rugs, esp turnout are false economy! Bite the bullet and buy a decent brand such as Weatherbeeta, they seem to last a hell of a lot longer! Ebay can be a good source if you know what you want and in what size, just be patient and you will find a bargain! I got a heavyweight Weatherbeeta Orican brand new for £27 including delivery last summer - buying rugs out of season is a good way to get bargains. Just make sure you check the seller's rating before you buy and use paypal.

PS if you have a big Tesco near you, keep having a snoop in there. My mum is always buying me random bits of horsey stuff from there, and it's decent enough for everyday use. People have also mentioned the Tesco website on here but never tried it myself.

If you can put up with slow delivery, then Surrey Equestrian have loads of brand stuff at cheaper than usual prices. Equestrian Clearance are also good, as has been said above. Then I use any random other places like Ride-Away, Old Dairy Saddlery, TDS, Ingatestone etc. Derby House are my last resort, and usually only if whatever I'm buying is on offer. I ordered a coat last week, in time for Badminton, and no sign of it yet... good flipping job it didn't rain yesterday!
Having said all that, the best shopping trip I ever did was in Scats (before we had any proper tack shops round these parts) when I bought my first pony... there's nothing like filling up one of those HUGE shopping trolleys with feed, rugs, etc!
