Hi,

I normally buy from Derby House, Ride Away and Equine Clearance. Not too keen on Robinsons tho.

Where do you buy your tack etc from?

Ruth

LOCAL tackshop, want to help keep them in business, and they offer a wide range at good prices, no P&P and easy to exchange if required. Most importantly, I can feel and look at the goods, try them on as necessary which is very important for things like hats and body protectors.

Last big purchase was my western saddle two months ago, off Ebay. I knew exactly what I wanted and I wasn't disappointed - fantastic saddle.

Most other stuff comes from from one of two local saddlers. When I lived in England I used Robinsons and Ride Away. I can't remember who I bought my Upland turnout rug from, but it's brilliant.

Mainly online now, Old Dairy Saddlery, breeches, competition shirts and windproof fleeces I order direct from Germany. Rugs quite often from Equestrian Clearance but have had some fantastic well fitting good quality rugs at sale prices from Tesco!

Having said that use a local chap for leatherwork, both saddles and bridles as will make what ever I want, quality is excellent at sensible prices.

Tesco - had seen them but didnt know if they were any good.

Did you guys know that Argos do some horse stuff now!

I get mine from local tack shops, robinsons, ebay, eileen douglas, ride away, derby house and online tack shops

Local tack shop and ebay. My local tack shop are very helpful and will orde most things in for you if they do not stock them normally.

E-bay is great for buying stuff you know is going to be grown out of in a few months time.
Otherwise I treat myself to a day out in Yorkshire and delve into what Ride Away has to offer (about 1 1/2 hrs drive away) now and again

At the moment saving up the pennies to have a blitz at Badminton!

I work in a tack shop, so buy there because I get a hefty discount

. But before I used to buy from Equestrian Clearance mostly, or the tackshop.

Ingatestone (not really because i'm supporting my local saddlery...they're hardly struggling) because its the closest.

I've used a few others in East Anglia but not been to them myself, YO tends to grab any 'specialist' stuff for me on delivery runs.

Also use Ebay and Classic Dressage (love the Busse saddlecloths).

I tend to use Tesco and ebay. i have had a look at equestrian clearance - they have some good bargains

i would use my local tack shop if it wasn't for the fact I would rather burn my money than give it to the owner

add that they have an appalling limited and highly overpriced range I choose not to. I sometimes drive to a couple of my other 'local' tackshops but they are much smaller so it depends what I want as to whether can get from them.

I do get a fair amount of stuff off the internet. Cotswold sport, discount saddlery and equestrian clearance being the main three I will buy from. Don't touch the other big names for varying reasons

Also take advantage of the likes of Olympia, badminton and HOYS

If its little cheap things then I get from my local tack shop (like studs, haynets etc.). Otherwise I buy from Ebay mainly! Or Equestrian Clearance. Occassionally from Derby House but only if they have good sales on as I find they're quite expensive.
