I have 10 acreas which we own and v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y building a yard. It's about 20miniuts away ( depends whos driving) which isn't ideal. Nightmare when you arrive to relise your forgotten a girth!
The place I may be loaning from is the people's own yard but DIY.
It's about 15 minutes if I walk via shortcut, 20 if I don't. about 10 minutes by bike, and 5 by car!
At a farm 2 mins away from my house, mine are the only horses there and whilst the facilities aren't great, its the next best thing to having my own place!
At a friend's field/yard, about 5 mins walk from my house. It's fab there because my share horse's owner and myself basically run the place, the owner is too much of a novice to know what to do so we look after her horse for her. We get cheap livery in return
I definitely miss being on "proper" DIY at a yard, I like the social side but don't like the bitchiness that comes with it!
On a farm, that has small diy/part livery attached. 10 stables, decent grazing and small menage. No off road riding but good hacking. About 20 mins from home by car, but easy to get to local competitions.
DIY on a farm about 5 miles from home. I love it, there's always people around to chat too and the place has a really nice atmosphere, and the YOs are so lovely.
Mine are on full livery about half an hours drive from my house. I used to do DIY, but wanted a yard with a decent school and facilities and could only find it on a full livery yard. It's a great place, well worth the money and the drive!
Tyler is on Full Livery and I couldnt ask for a better service. The facilities are first class and Tyler just loves the big mud patch that has been created especially for his big grey body !!!
At Diy Livery , 5 min drive , Got a whole barn to myself, good size arena with showjumps, field of my own and at the minute I have one lovely Livery who will be leaving in the next month
So wont have anyone to talk to , the other is slightly on the weird side
