Where do you keep your horses (poll)

Do you believe that horse's minds can be read, even by someone who has never met the horse?

if my house was angled slightly the other direstion, i could see my yard from my bedroom.

it takes me about a minute in the mornings (with my eyes still shut

) to get to the yard

Mine are kept on livery, but it looks like when son gets his new horse (hopefully at end of month) it's going to be 2 different yards for a while due to space. I'm desperately looking for a yard to rent or buy by myself now so I don't need to worry about whether maintenance will be done etc. Anybody know aout any secret places that land changes hands as it doesn't seem to be happening in my world?

Mine and my sisters are kept at my parents house which is about 10 mins through the country lanes from where i live (we also work there as well so rather handy!).

have just asked about a field near me, which looks promising for my new horses...
try going round knocking on farmers doors and asking

I've got 6 of mine at home and one out on loan which is kept at the loaner's home, so none at livery! I like seeing them out of the window, or wandering across the yard to check them last thing at night. I think I am very lucky.

I used to keep just the retired two at home and the one I compete in livery. Due to his recent illness (he is on the mend now) I moved him home to make it easier. I have enjoyed having him at home so much that all of the reasons for keeping in livery walker, indoor school etc no longer seem important. I hire a lovely outdoor surface 10mins trailer ride away twice a week. I will never go back to livery again but I do realise that I am very lucky being able to keep them at home.

I keep Chum in part livery up the road. I can just see the top of his stable from my bedroom window, in the winter when no leaves on the trees..

I would love to have a house with land but it is expensive around here..

This might sound wierd but we keep mums at home and mine in livery- so that I have people to ride out with- mum doesnt ride- so i would be alone all the time. Plus, at home we have changeovers of horses all the time what with new clients arriving and leaving- so it can be really unsettling for a horse so i would rather have my horse (horse i hope to purchase) in livery

I keep mnie at Livery it takes me about 2 mins on my bike in the morning down a private drive outside my house, fanatstic facilities, great yard owner, so its the next best thing other than keeping him at home.I would like to think that when we next move house neddy will be moving with us.

Selkie, LOL. Me too, thermal wellies and a trapper hat here.

Mine are in the garden! Grass is growing, lawn mower still broken! 9Typical, married to a mechanic and he can't be bothered to fix the mower

) These two come out and strip graze the lawn for me during the day, still got a fair bit to go yet.
