Where do you look for livery yards?

Hi,

I've said I'd help my friend advertise her livery yard so was hoping you'd be able to help by telling me where you look for livery yards (which websites, magazines etc), and what are the most important things you look out for in an ad (school, grazing, hacking nearby ....)?

Help would be most appreciated!

Word of mouth & local advertising. Although I prefer small yards so tend to just drive round a new area.

I searched online when I was looking, and also put posts on forums to get recommended yards. I would want to know about the turnout and facilities, and the hacking

Sorry forgot to say, grazing & hacking & price on the ad, most people would prob say school too. And what type of livery eg full only or diy. Quite happy to ring up tho really so ad doesn't have to grab me.

Mostly word of mouth. Most ads that I've seen for new local yards were in local riding club/pc newsletters or noticeboards on tack shop walls etc..
