Where do you sell secondhand saddles?

My saddle fitter doesnt trade and I have emailed Saddles Direct and they wont buy the make of saddle i'm selling but will advertise it for £10pcm. Where else do you go to sell a secondhand saddle? Is Ebay good? Or is there better websites?

I have mine on ebay at the moment, as saddle direct wouldn't buy my make if saddle either!
I hope it sells as I really need the money to buy something that fits the horse!

Sorry thats not much help - but you could do a search for free ads websites and sell it that way or H&H is free to advertise tack under £500 I think!

I had a feeling before I emailed them that they wouldnt accept mine because I read on here that they only like the well known makes but I wanted an idea of market value anyway. I'm surprised they said £350 when I bought for £600 May last year!

I'll try ebay to start. I need the money to buy a new Thorowgood with!

I have sold a few on Ebay but my Dever one has not been so good, have had to relist despite being a lovely saddle, maybe I should try Saddles Direct see if they sell this type, lol

Saddles Direct offered to buy two of my saddles and they bought some off my friend. They also said they try to buy wide and extra wide saddles when they are offered them.

Could try but it is an event saddle though, would have thought they would more likely buy GP or VSD?

Well mines a VSD and MW and they didnt want it but the make is Saint Lourdes - my saddle fitter hadnt heard of that make either! Argentinian make.

I advertised mine on Saddles Direct website and got many, many calls for it.

Saddles direct didn't want my WOW saddle either!!!! They wanted my Amerigo at about £500 less than my local saddler said it was worth, but offered me loads for a wintec??????

The WOW is on e-bay and doing realy well and has met its reserve a few days out from the auction. Wintec and Amerigo also on e-bay but no bids for them yet - but there is about 5 days to go.

There is a new website www.saddleseek.com where you can advertise saddles and tack. It has only just started but it looks really good. Its free at the moment as well.

tried ebay and they didnt sell, nothing seems to be selling on ebay at the moment.
