I need some sort of storage for my tack (1 saddle ) grooming kit, bits and pieces for the ponies etc........the field we have is view-able to a nearby road in the village and the people are the types to moan and complain to the council if anything is out of place so a movable shed with skids is out the question for now (long story) however it will be a temporary problem as soon applying for stables etc.
What does everyone use for storage for feed etc and rugs?? what do you do if you have zero facilities in your field? rugs when there wet etc?? never really worried as ponies always been babies so didnt need anything for them, but this time will be different.
Been leaving tack in plastic container and synthetic saddle under a bin bag but its not great!!!
Any suggestions??

I used to keep my tack etc in ym car, not sur about rugs etc.

Could you get a plastic bench/box from a hardware shop? they are waterproof, not sure about rugs though?

all my liveries have a chest freezer most have the motor removed

they are large
grr8 for storage of rugs
vermin proof
get allot of rugs in

the trays at the top are gr8 for bandages first aid
also good for feedbins again vermin proof and mobile on a trolly jack we have 18 freezers here some have feed most have the liveries stuff in

all the liveries love them as they keep everything nicely stored away and no mice to munch on them

and the feed ones are gr8 you can use smaller ones for this
and the big ones you can get a whole bag of ready grass in them or whole back hifi

thats what i call gr8

you can put a padlock on them secure it well and no one can lift it onto truck:D

i started using them in 80,s my friend had one

see something like this one would take a full bag pony nuts!! and its faulty ( the type u want cheap) 99p;?
keep am eye one them when one is in your area

you could try going down to your dump some do let u buy them i bought some this way
as long as they take motor out which is what they do its ok

like to see any 1 trying to lift {steal} a chest freezer full of stuff and is secured on top haha they will brake their back

I have one too they are plastic i have my jump stuff in the field in them you can dismantle them so easy just by yanking on the lid they gr8 inside or not valuable into it but Never tack eazy peazy to break into

they are water proof ( my jump numbers dressage stuff jump cups ) stay dry but tack would not be safe.

I have put my show stuff ( bridles ) in my wardrobe i put bridle hooks on the back wall so through winter they keep warm and safe as i have more tack in tack room than i am insured for so keeping show bridles and competition bridles in house keeps them safe could try that they wouldn't be in way

in the past I had my saddle rack in my garage

Its very rural and where it will be kept cannot be seen from the road, (the field is in two parts with a hedge through it) theres a huge oak tree to put it behind :) field backs onto a deserted private working woods, plus lots of security as field has a few houses at the top (and only) entrance.
Saddle i can always lug down its more my bridle and grooming kit etc.......

Large carrier bag (big reusable shopping one) for bridle, numnah, brushes and anything small. Boot liner to keep car clean. Feed under stairs at home, plastic stackable boxes from B & Q for spare rugs and tack. It does help if you have a garden shed or/and an attic.

I waited for the Spring Sales at the start of the year, then picked up a little wooden shed from my local B&Q. They had loads of cheap sheds for sale, lots of different sizes and colours. I went for a two door version, inward hinging for easy access.

Hope that helps!

What about a sngle bike shen they are very low but I think you would get a saddle rack on the back wall and a feed bin or 2 in them
