A recent discussion up the yard got me wondering; where are all the horsey people?

Is it just a specific area that we hang about in or do other yards suffer from large number of empty boxes all other the country? – its is rising prices? Or competition in the area?

- im interested in other peoples views…

We have problems finding boxes for new liveries, we currently have waiting lists

We are just starting to fill up at our yard. I've been there 12 months and we have only been half full since I arrived (10 livery boxes currently). Lovely yard too. YO has had a few yards in various parts of the country. According to him if his current yard was located elsewhere he would have waiting lists as long as your arm. He reckons us Shropshire folk are an odd bunch and don't accept change - says its a waste of money advertising around here as he only gets enquiries through word of mouth, yet elsewhere advertising was the way to go.

All the yards in my area have waiting lists, we are lucky and have our own place but are always getting people asking if we have spare stables.

Hehe -

thats the love of my life : )

I looked after her for 4 years when i was 7 - and then moved away from Essex (as i have 2 brothers - parents thought it was unfair that i got a pony!) - so eventually i turned 18 and could buy a horse of my on (finally yay!) - and so i decided to get my little Polly back : )

Shes is the most amazing, smart, beautiful little pony ive ever known (obviously im biased!) - were just two peas in a pod - stubbon and greedy!! :P

We're pretty packed at the livery barn. I think there is one free stable which is a pony stable and already at least 2 liveries are out on the main yard. I doubt we have a waiting list but we fill our boxes up quick enough if someone decides to move on. Where are you based?
