I am looking for a 15-1 (or preferably bigger) arabian mare/gelding/stallion 4-8 years, good conformation and clean legs. But for the life of me I can't find anything half decent!!!!!!

Are there any arabian breeders on the forum who might be able to point me in the right direction!!!

What discipline for ,one of my clients primarily breeds for racing but they are big tough types could ask her if she had anything.
They would be more doers than pretty arabs though and most they do keep to race themselves but you never know

Try arabianlines.com They have a sales page and there are loads of breeders on there who would be able to help you I'm sure.

I always like having a look at this lady's sale page:

Though I think they are mainly showing arabs...

If you are willing to travel there is the 'performance arabian' stud in Scotland. They have some amazing looking horses.

If you go on the arabianlines forum there are lots of people on there who breed performance arabs....

The there are usually nice arabs on horsequest, horsedeals and adhorse - I saw a lovely looking performance arab the other day but can't remember what site it was on.

Try Diana Whittome at Coed y Foel (Marcus' breeder) who has a seriously performance type filly from the same dam that I think she said they are backing. Big real leg at each corner type. Not sure if she is available though but no harm in enquiring. Also Anne Brown at Gadebrook who stands Sambist. i'm pretty sure she said a while ago that she had a good young mare looking for a job. I can pm you numbers if you don't have them.

Only have a yearling pure bred myself and she's mine, all mine :D (That is technically true for those that know me because the 5yo homebred Vert Olive filly is my eldest daughters!)

Lots of Arabians in France you could try "Find your horse" website.

Are you looking for a pure Arab - as I know you know Shagya's are 90% Arabian but are tall and substantial. Our 3 yo colt is 15.3hh and has 8" of bone.

Shagya's for sale on Shagaya France or at National Stud, Babolna in Hungary. I can pm you websites.

I am pointing a friend in your direction, I believe she may have a Vert Olive gelding for sale (as per the line, looks more tb than arab) Is this for Endurance?

Thanks Rollin, if it was my choice I would go Shagya all the way :D but OH thinks that they might be just a bit too heavy for what he is looking for :( but I might be able to twist his arm on a shagya x arab which sounds stupid as a shagya is an arab :D but you know what I mean :)

Cruiseline I have posted you the for sale page from Babolna they have Arabs and Shagyas of all ages.

It is a great visit - they have a hostel and you can ride, go for a drive in a hunting cart and see hundreds of lovely horses!! Easier to get to from Vienna than from Budapest.
