I advertise Tobago in the main Arab mags and websites, but just wondering, for next year, which would be the best non-Arab mag and/or website to use?

He's getting lots of mares this season, and his 2008 book is already rapidly filling up, but they are mainly pure-bred Arabs, and I would like ideally to have a few more non-Arab mares to him next year.

I suppose H&H would be the best mag for this? Any thoughts or advice?

I still find H&H get the best response for stallion ads, wasn't impressed with horse deals, also any of the online stallion sites but pick ones with reputable stallions on because some just seem to collect the ungraded (won't ever be graded) types.

Horse deals do a good deal on their stallion features!

perhaps they have improved since I last tried lol

I don't like their cold calling habits though, can't get rid of them!

Oh - I forgot I did put him on stallionsonline - the nice PBA stally Icon was on there so it figured it must be OK.

I had thought about Horse Deals but wasn't sure if breeders used it much. Looking at it again, they do seem to get a lot of stallion ads, though, and for good-quality stallions, so maybe it's a good place now.

H&H must be the obvious one - very expensive, though, if one wants a decent-sized ad. I suppose it's a matter of picking the right stallion-issue to advertise in. I kinda felt it was maybe a bit silly to advertise a 'show' stallion who isn't even backed yet in a very performance/competition-oriented mag like this.

Yes picking the right issue is the key, you should probably go for advertising in one or all of the show directory issues, people tend to keep them, and rather than the sport horse stallion issues as your boy is showing

We get more responses from Equi-Ads than we do from any other publication, isn't Horse Deals and H&H now owned by one and the same? IPC Media? maybe they will start offering discounts to advertise in both

Thanks Opie - I'll look into Equi-Ads as well.

Although actually his 2008 book is filling up so fast already that I may not want to do much advertising after all. Except it would be nice to have a few more really good non-Arab mares.

Golly Opie you have some lovely horses - just been drooling over the stunning photos on your website...

Seriously - I saw the lovely pics in your sig and just had to go and snoop around your website. What a stunning collection of mares you have! I know very little about WB bloodlines, but I'm trying to learn - could learn a lot about the best ones just by studying your website, I think!

How long has it taken to build up this collection?
