(When did they run an unaffiliated 1.10m there? We've been there every time something's run this year and none have been more than the 1m? Must have seen you at some point, lol).

Anyways, sister used to get catch rides a lot through word of mouth in the PC. She always had quirky ponies so people knew she didn't mind riding anything she could, and she was gutsy and small. You don't tend to get decent (as in proper event type ponies) catch rides until you're pretty well known, and even then they're rare as even the quirky ones are worth a fair amount. But she got the ride on 5/6 ponies from when she was 11 to when she was 14/15 and she had an absolute blast with them and even though none were over 13.2hh, she learnt a lot and got to compete in a variety of disciplines.

But aside from an advert she put together when she was 12, it was all through people asking if anyone knew someone small who'd school a pony, and the person recommending her. Decent pony catch rides are rare, and often require a lot of work. You learn a lot though! If it's a pony who'll live with you and you pay expenses (so a loan) it's easier- all her ponies were loans, and although most of them were slightly mental they were fab...

Best catch ride she got- when she started riding him he was a nervy little pony but by the time she'd totally outgrown him he was a superstar who she loved riding.

"dont all of us juniors want to be offered the ride on a decent 148 ? i certainly wouldnt mind and im pretty sure most others wouldnt youve got a lot of riders to compete with so if i were you just accept any ride you get offered then from riding lots of other peoples ponies word will soon get out if you're any good "

I think you have previously answered your own question Gembo! Word of mouth if you are decent, ask around if you're willing and if you're neither don't bother :p
