I've had one disaster after another with saddles, I ended up having to purchase a 16 inch Fhoenix Heather Moffett dressage saddle for my Dartmoor but it's turned out it's no good, it doesn't fit my pony or me and has left me with no saddle to use on a pony just back from schooling livery so I really need one. I have a saddler coming out on 23rd Sept from Native Pony Saddle Company but I have to sell the Fhoenix before I can get a new one, I do not have lots of money to be throwing around and mine all went into the Fhoenix.

I have put it on e-bay as a buy it now/make me an offer but had to advertise it higher than I'd let it go for elsewhere as the commission is so high, I can't end up with a loss or I won't be able to get the new saddle which is going to cost at least £800 - it will be worth though!

Any ideas on where to advertise this to get a sale but at the price I need! I get a feeling I am going to just have to sit it out and wait and hope unfortunately.

How do you mean it doesnt fit your or your horse? Or do you just not lik the position it puts you in?

Suggest you try preloved too but you wont get £800 for a fhoenix

It's too small for my backside which puts me too back in the saddle. I don't expect £800 for it, I just need to recoup what I paid to go towards the new one.

Thanks

Is it a Vogue?
I'd probably put it on EBay. The people on the Enlightened Equitation forum tend to pick up on any saddles they see there, so it would attract the right audience?
I think they're going for about £500 - £600
Was it fitted? If so it sounds as if the fitter didn't do their job.

Will look thanks, it's a fhoenix, I didn't buy it without advice so shame it doesn't fit. I have put it at a huge price on eBay with make me an offer in the hope someone might just email me! might have to just suck up the commission they charge which is 15% I think. Grrrr

The Fhoenix Vogue is a later model than yours, they go for a bit more, but older models like yours will be somewhere in the £500 mark.
If it was fitted don't you have recourse to the fitter?

Have Pm'd you about it as don't really want to go into too much detail here, just really want to know how/where to sell it to get a good price but quickly if possible!
