where to advertise horse for sale?

Looking at horsedeals, horsemart or horse and hound

The first 2 start at £15 for a month but are just online, horse and hound states £20, is this just for online, or does anyone know if it goes in the magazine aswell for this price??

Which do you look in/at when looking to buy a horse? btw it's a youngster that's for sale if that has any bearing on which one to use.

Have been looking since last April (!) and always go on Horsemart and Horsequest (every day) and occasionally on Horsedeals.

I sometimes look on Coloured Contacts and the Pony Club website too. These days I wouldn't buy a magazine to look for a horse when I can do it for free on the internet.

I generally lookat horsemart and H+H most but also on the local pc message boards and in tackshops You could try local horsey forums as they'll be free to post on

The last horse i sold i had on horsemart and horse and hound and horsedeals had no response at all from horsedeals good from horsemart and horse and hound.

I paid for both online and mag in h and h and when the magazine came out i was surprised that i got quite a few calls from the mag from people who obvs hadnt seen the ad online, i have had good response from horsequest in the past also.
