Horsequest or Horsemart?
Could anyone advise the best website's for horses for sale? I am wanting to market 2 middle aged geldings, cob type all rounders with jumping/hunting backgrounds, (won't say anymore as don't want to be deemed as advertising!).
I am not asking a fortune for them as both have been wonderful family friends and a good home the priority, but was wondering if Horsequest was too up market for the cheaper horses? Also any other recommendations for websites greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There's equineadverts.co.uk and preloved.co.uk too. What about right here on the horse and hound website?

I found my horses on horsehunter.

It may be worth searching through all the 'wanted' adds.

Good luck!!

The only responses have been from NFED and local feed shop. Horsequest was a complete waste of money :(

I think it totally depends on the type of horse - I spent several hundred pounds advertising with H&H and never even got a phonecall - all of the horses I have put on Horsequest (using a premier advert) have sold within a week of going online. I don't think I would bother with horsequest just for a normal advert to be honest as it gets lost so quickly - the premier ones everyone sees as soon as they go to the relevent section.

I sold one very quickly from there a couple of years ago but the website seems to be well out of date now - still quoting dates up to December 2008??? - so I was put off using them again

Really? There are always new horses added daily I find? My horse was only advertised there about 3-4 weeks ago.

I've just found my new horse on horsemart off to pick him up shortly! :) I looked on horsequest but couldn't see anything and found the site a bit confusing whereas there was loads on horsemart.

You could also try local sites that are targeted to your area.
