Where to buy 5 1/4" bit?

My friend has recently bought a new horse. A 5" bit is slight tight so she tried a 5 1/2" and it was too big so does anyone know where online you can buy a 5 1/4" loose ring snaffle with french link or lozenge? I am aware neue schule do a 5 1/4 but she would like to try a cheaper bit first to check the sizing.

Have you tried looking for a neue schule on a bit bank? You borrow it for a month or so for about £5/10 ... if it fits you pay the extra and keep it and if it doesnt, you send it back.. i had this suggested to me aswell as i am in a similar position. Hope this helps

I am pretty sure I have a loose ring copper training bit in 5 and 1/4 .

More than welcome to try it, will measure it first when I go to the yard tomorrow .

Anything advertised as 13.5cm is 5 1/4". Jeffries sell a lot that are sized this way inc happy mouth and the revolver bits. Shop4bits.com has a good selection for trial/sale
