Can anyone help?
Some friends of mine have bought a cob mare who is approx 14.2hh and is somewhat round in build. They are having major problems finding a saddle thats fits her as she has no withers and is like a barrel. They bought a Wintec extra wide which just moves and clearly is the wrong saddle and they are now stuck and can only ride her bareback. They are very novice so not the best to ride without a saddle.
We have a good saddler coming out at the end of the month and he may have something but any info would be gratefully accepted.
Plus if you know anyone who wants an extra wide Wintec, you know where to PM.

Hi I've got one the same (Sec D) and bought a GFS VSD in maximum width through my saddler. To stop it slipping at all I use an internet mesh underneath between the horse and numnah.
My saddler reckons my horse's front shape is flatter than most horse's at the back of the saddle !!!

anychance you could make your Siggy smaller??

its driving me nuts with scrolling back and forth..

I have an Ideal VSD which was made for my 14.2 welsh cob. He had no withers at all & was really round. It fitted him better than any other saddle I had ever had before. Because it is a VSD it is straighter cut than a GP so it allows the full movement of their shoulders.

Sadly, I only used it 3 times before he had a terrible accident & had to be PTS. It is brown & very comfortable. I would consider selling it. I paid £795 but would take £425. I am in West Sussex, near Gatwick It really is like new and even the girth straps looked unused.
