After trying many different types of welly and not finding them last long (i'm a bit heavy going on my boots and wear them quite a bit!) i'd like to know if anyone knows of a good heavy duty, maybe farming type welly, that doesn't cost the earth, under £50 if possible!

I gave up with the under £50 welly - none of them last more than 2-3 years. Have bought OH some Agile Parcours wellies for Christmas - so nice I've been using them so will get myself some too. They seem very solid on the sole, thicker yet very flexible rubber so I can't see them splitting like normal wellies, and warm as they're lined with neoprene - have been doing the ponies in pjs and not had to bother with socks this weekend despite the frost. There was a chap in Scats when I was looking at wellies getting his girlfriend some for Christmas and he was singing their praises for longevity despite hard wear. (They were £119 though, so way over your budget)
