where to buy magnesium?

my back lady has advised me to feed one of my horses magnesium- where is the best place to buy it?

i am not using it as a calmer so don't really want to pay through the nose for magnesium just to get it in a NAF calmer or similar.

Firstly i would love to know why you need magnesium if not a calmer, as i have never heard that its for backs :$

Equine america do a supplement called Magnitude which is classed as a calmer but would obviously still have all the magnesium in and it's around £18 for 6 months supply.

I started using Magnitude by Equine America about a month ago. I think it is working good so far. Check their website to find stockists.

I just got magnitude which was £18 inc p&p. Just looked on that natural supplies web site and the same stuff is only £12.50 ish inc p&p. not equine america obviously but it is magnesium oxide just the same.
It seems a really cheap site, no fancy packaging helps.

There is an Ebay shop called barefoot basics which is really good and very cheap as there is no fancy packaging, we buy all our supplements from them

apparently it can help with stiff muscles and my 4yro has a bit of a tight back at the moment- i suppose as it is a calmer it can have the effect of relaxing the muscles
