I’m looking for a 3-6yr old 15hh+ Mw/hw Unbroken project and feel like I’ve looked absolutely everywhere! They all seem to be too young or too small. I have a small budget of around 600 but willing to stretch slightly. Does anyone know any trustworthy dealers/breeders who sell anything matching this description?
Any help would be much appreciated 🙂

600 pounds?
I am a bargain hunter with buying my youngsters, but even I will say the likelihood or you picking up a youngster of that description for that amount of money is slim to none. £2k would be a better budget, and even then you would still be getting something cheap.

Yep, the budget is the issue.
I would keep saving and buy a nice 3 year old in autumn/winter.

I certainly wouldn’t think of buying anything older ‘unbacked,’ as it’ll almost certainly have some backstory.

When your budget is low like that you need to compenstate by putting more effort in. Are you looking for a cobby type or more hunter type? I'd be trawling preloved, dragon driving and facebook. I'd also have an ad up on the horses for sale under £500 group and keep it bumped. Then you will have to move quickly if something suitable sounding turns up. They dont hang about long at that price.

Lots of free ad sites: my mare wasn't much more than your budget, she was off Preloved and unbacked. She'd be a great all rounder if her rider didn't let her down (lol)!
There is also gumtree, pets4homes, freeads and as has already been mentioned, Dragon Driving. But be careful; sometimes with less expensive horses there is a reason they're cheap. Not always, but sometimes. So take someone with you if you go to view anything because two pairs of eyes are far better than one.

If you search around you may find something.. may be dodgy but you never know, could pick up a bargain.

I bought both of mine for less than that unbacked but that was a good 5 years ago in the South West. One was well bred and had brilliant conformation, one 3 and the other 5 but he didn't have a great life before I owned him. I found both of mine advertised on Facebook on those horse selling groups, although my coloured cob I bought from a terrible housing estate and it had dodgy written all over it - he is a ace chap.

I'd try and save a bit more, £1000 could get you something with a bit more quality.
