Where to buy wormer and which one?

as title really, horse has come back from vets and is a little lacking in condition (expected but still not particularly happy). Found out that she is well overdue for worming (whole yard worms together yo usually sorts it) and YO syas she's going to leave it until horses go out. However I want to worm mine now because i want to rule out worms as an explanation for her loss of condition but I haven't had to buy my own before so where can i get hold of them?
Also which one would you use? They have been on Equest prmox and Equest for the past three years. Should i switch or stick with what i know?

No advise on what wormer to use, but thepetmedicinecompany.co.uk are really good, very reasonable priced and offer excellent, and quick service.

They have advice on there about worming plans and what you can use......I have bought wormers from them previously and they have always been very quick with delivery
 
Just google and search. There is lots of information on the internet and I just recently did Strongid P double dose for tapeworm(sachets) and he was loaded! He passed lots of dead worms etc.

You can research it yourself to find out which ones to use at which times of year etc and lots of information about drugs not working etc etc. Its confusing, I used wormers direct calender recently, but there are loads on the internet. You can buy from anywhere so shop around for pricing. Petsmed delivered the next day, but they had an offer on.


Can understand your predicament and its a shame you cant worm together but I would worm if in your situation.
 
If he hasn't been wormed for tapes a worm count won't show this, so give them a wormer for that and then join the rest of the yard for the grazing season wormers.

Thats what I do - worm counts all year except for spring (ie. now) when I do use a wormer since worm counts dont show up tape worm. Cant decide which one to go for either! Think best choice is between Equest pramox, Equest and Strongid P but trying to work out which is best value as we speak for mine!
