Where to find a loan (deperately looking.)

Having had to have my gelding and best friend PTS last week at just 12, I am in a horrible situation of needing to find a loan horse urgently to keep my youngster company. I have borrowed another youngster but this is a very temporary solution and I am very keen to sort something a bit more long term out.

I know I can pick up a companion pony anywhere in about 5 minutes, however I have been in the unfortunate position of not having had anything to ride for the past 18 months as my boy was at best a light hack and then was retired. I bought a foal just before it became apparent he would have to be PTS but he's not coming to me till around Christmas.

I'd love to find something about 15hh that is sound and sensible for loan - open to any suggestions, I want to have 3 horses as thats better than 2 so although I don't want to buy anything just yet it's certainly an option in the not too distant future.

I'm in the Midlands and have checked out Equine Adverts, Horsemart, preloved and my local tackshops - any other ideas where I can look? Or does anyone know of anything suitable?
 
I am just off J4 of the M5, near Bromsgrove/Stourbridge.

I am flexible - my foal will be coming home at Christmas time so at least 6 months but happy to take for longer - I have my own land so have the space.

There is a 12 year 15.1 mare being given away in H&H (check the ads on the side) has nervicular syndrome but sound? might just be worth a look?
 
Hi thanks for that - I can't find the advert but I don't think I would take something on with an already identified problem as I went through so much heartache with my lad. I will have a look though if I can find it!
 
I have been in touch with some rescues however the rehoming process takes time I think and this is fairly urgent.

I am reluctant to go to the sales as I am still reeling from losing my boy and I suspect I would buy something thoroughly unsuitable. I am not looking for a companion or youngster - I have those already, I am looking for something sensible and sound that I can ride (possibly impossible.)
