Equestrian clearance currently have the Bates close contact jumping saddle (with Cair) for £685.99 - is that any good? Bates.EquestrianClearance.com

I would get your local saddle fitter out and try several to see what suits your horse and you. It is just not possible to pick a brand that you like and assume it will suit your horse, because it might not.

It is even worse to buy one off the internet without trying it. For 2 reasons- 1) you need to ride in a saddle to make sure it fits. Even the same make/model can vary in manufacture.
2) The amount of saddles that are sold on the internet/through auctions that have a damaged tree or uneven flocking is considerable.

you have a good budget, use it wisely!

Get a good saddle fitter to come out with a range of saddles for you to try. saddle fitting correctly done is so important. As teddyt says, even buying a make/model you know fits over the internet can be frought with problems.

Got any cash to spare?
