Where to find a nice dressage stock and shirt...

For the stock would you recommend a ready tied one or one you tie yourself?

And for the shirt, any suggestions would be welcomed.

Sorry am a total snob - if you are going to wear a stock then it HAS to be self tied. Hence why I wear an SJ collar when SJing and only use a stock out hunting (I have had it drummed into me to have them TIGHT, therefore it is too much for SJing for me!)

Hmmm, never actually tied a stock before, but I think they look so much better hand tied. Any ideas where to get a nice one from for stressage?

Not a ready tied one! Definitely go for one you have to tie yourself!

It really isn't that hard once you practise - I must say I prefer someone else doing it for me when I am hunting (as someone else can get it tighter for you) but when I have used one for SJing I have done it myself and it looks fine (and slacker, but I felt bad for that LOL)

self tied anyday look far far far better and actuallly support your neck!

I got all mine from Ebay there was a seller who makes then on there not sure if they still about though as last one i got over a year ago now!

My sister has a lovely stock from Lucinda Green, its canary/ivory but its too yellow and not that expensive.

I brought a shirt and stock combo from my local saddlery - think it is Equetech.... the stock attaches via a button to the shirt and feeds through little loops on the shirt collar so you can get it really tight and it doesn't bunch up

I got a lovely ivory silk stock with a nice subtle pattern from Classic Dressage.

tie your own stock. Ive got a nice cotton one which washes really well.

I compete in a Toggi X-treme sleeveless stock shirt. Really comfy and fits nicely too.

I have an Equetech fleece stock shirt for colder months and a Toggi X-treme one for summer-both very good.
Stocks I seem to have collected-brought a lovely checked one from Badminton last year, white cotton one I was given a couple of years ago and various I've brought from local tack shops.
Oh and self tie ONLY!

I bought a Toggi X-treme stock shirt too and really like it, I do prefer to wear sleeveless shirts personally.
