Where do you look to find a reliable freelance groom? I've tried a few websites but can't find anyone local, also tried wanted adverts in a few places.

word of mouth, farriers are the best source-I have often got jobs over the last 25yrs through my farrier so it works both ways and many grooms looking to move on or for more work with find out from the farrier if anyone is looking, you may be able to put up a little advert in the farriers van

Try contacting the British Grooms Association - therebare many listed already available on the site. If you have a job offering, they will also post it on their FB page etc too.
