Where to find hunting photos?

Does anyone know where I can find good hunting photos?

I want to do a painting of a mounted master and his hounds in action but don't seem to be able to find anything. There are some good ones taken by horse and hound but the ones on the website are too small and I don't really want to have to pay for a pic of a person/hunt that I don't even know.

My photography skills are awful so I cn't go out and take them myself.

Suggestions please!

If you click on gallery there are loads of photos from the various hunts - as well as those on the web site itself. You do have to pay if you order a print - but there might be something you can use.

You might find some on something like U tube as well.

What a wonderful idea, I wish my hunt would do something like this. Still not sure if the photos on the site are going to be large enough to get a good amount of detail. I may just have to bite the bullet and buy some.

Be careful with copyright if you buy something to paint though, not sure where you'd stand legally....

Thank you very much, Geoff Woolf is amazing, I'm sure I will be able to fins something from him. I'm not sure where I stand with copyright as I have only ever copied photos before for my own personal use but am hoping to have a got at selling some paintings. Does anyone know if I need to get permission?

Not sure really on the copyright law with this one. Why not email the photographer and explain what you're doing, see what they say?

I'm not sure re copyright, but why not give Sally Mitchell FIne Arts a ring, they are always very helpful and may be able to point you in the right direction....or have a look on the art thread (in CR I think) and PM one of them....

Glad you like Geoff's stuff! He takes some brilliant pics, and I'm sure he'd be delighted if someone wanted to paint one of them.
