I want to take Fella to a spon/fun ride, whatever you want to call it, come springtime, so march/april/may. However, where do you look to find one advertised? I know they might not be advertising for them yet, as they are a couple of months away, but in the autumn when they were going on I still didn't see any advertised!
I have tried online sites like riding diary and have found nothing, and after some initially promising results from googling, have found nothing, bar entry forms from 2007 and now closed websites!
I will obviously keep an eye out in my local feed merchant, but I just wondered where you lot find out about them from.
Thankies!

Pegasus magazine is pretty good (and also available on-line).

If you like sponsored rides, you might also want to think about some of the Endurance training rides (you don't have to do the competitive ones, you can do the training rides and they're still really good fun and the Endurance crowd are generally pretty nice). Check out the Endurance South East website (you'll find it on Google).

I use the Pegasus website and magazine, but it’s only going up to March at the moment, but keep looking. The East Kent Ride in early April is a good one, starts off fast, it one of my favourites. I’ll be doing every fun/xc/sponsored ride in Kent that I can find, so hopefully see you there!

I will be doing as many as I can afford to get to! Which, unless I can find somebody with a big lorry to share lifts with, is likely to be one, as the costs of getting a horse transporter to take me to and from the ride in a big lorry is very expensive!
Where abouts in the East Kent Ride? Obviously East Kent, but where?

The East Kent Ride starts in Wye, down Ashford way. There is also the Molash Ride which is Canterbury way, which is my absolute favourite (it goes though the grounds of Chilham Castle), me and Bodes did that on our own last year, such fun. Oh another one I really enjoyed last year was The Great Chart Happy Hack, all across stubble fields, lots of places to have a blast.
