where to find someone for holiday cover

where to people advertise for some extra help/holiday cover? I am going away next year for a few days and i'm thinking about getting a freelance groom as my friend who usually covers for me is coming with me! do people go through groom agencies? or do they find someone locally. and where do you find these people?!
 
I'm doing a month as stand in YM at the moment and it was very much a local arrangement.

The problem, from my point of view, is that this is just a temporary role and while I am doing it I cannot commit to anything else. I have to do the full month as the YO is on the other side of the world on holiday.Fortunately I also have a longer term client I am still working for 2 hours a day..there is no way I would give up a regular client for a short term job.

How many horses do you need the groom to do. If it is only 2 or 3, for example, then a local freelance groom should be able to fit it in (a yard of 14 like I am doing is a whole different thing!)
 
try the grooms association. I get alot of work through there. It has really helped me, and I hope in turn I have helped a few others!
