I am looking to for more jumps for my yard. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get basic wooden poles that i can paint and use?I am also looking for jump wings/ fillers/planks etc
I live on the wiltshire/gloucestershire boarder and wondered if there any good places around to get them from?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Try www.west-country-show-jumps.co.uk my friend bought some jumps from here and swears by them.
My mum bought our poles from a local wood yard. They cost £8 for a 10ft pole. This was about 18months ago so in the “credit crunch” they may have gone up slightly. I’m sure these would be similarly priced at any wood yard but we bought ours from Bridgeyate. It may be worth phoning some wood yard and asking prices.

Agree would go to a timber merchants for poles. We made our own showjumps - they are so much better and lasted longer than the ones that we bought. We treated the wood which bought showjumps are not which is why they dont last as long.

if travelling from the Griffin pub turn towards oldland common at the mini double rouondabouts. You then come to a very mini rounabout and its just there. It's Halfway along the road from the griffin to cann lane. Im not sure if this makes any sense :S

ooh i forgot to say, they are meant to be fence post so come with a triangle like shaped end where they are supposed to stick in ground. They are not sharp so we left them on however you could easily saw them off
