Hoping to take my daughter and her welsh sec, A to some local shows soon. She is 5 and thanks to some great advice given to me on this forum i have got her outfit sorted. Now i have started to think about what i will wear. Any ideas where i can get a fairly cheap outfit and hat for the lead rein classes? I have looked on ebay but havn't seen much. Anyone know any other websites or even non horsey shops i can look in? Daughters jacket is a brown tweed so would quite like to coordinate with that in some way. Thanks in advance. Lotty.

when i did lead rein classes & inhand classes(local & some county) i went round the charity shops to start with, the ponies colours were red, yellow & navy. I brought a navy blue trouser suit and a yellow sleeveless blouse type top and a blue at with white ribbon which i replaced with yellow - everyone commented & recognised me from show to show as it was that unusual!

it is really nice outfit & made me look smart without overshadowing the rider/pony. i have an inhand photo & will try & upload it later for you to see.

have just found it!

Oh, that looks really smart. I wish i was creative and could adapt something like that. I will definately go and check out some charity shops. Thanks for taking the time to upload that lovely picture! lotty.

Yes, you should be able to find a suitable outfit in the charity shops. Wear a hat that fits snugly and wont blow off as you do your trot up, don't wear a full skirt that will blow over your head and wear comfy shoes that you can run in!!! Culottes look quite smart either with flat shoes or long flat-heeled boots.

Best of Luck.
