I am based in Battle East Sussex and have 250acres of woodland to hack, but would like to take the boys out to hack other pastures new too.

Did a sponsored ride over the Downs near Lewes and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Have a trailer, so would be good to know where best to park too.

I'm thinking of joining TROT and know of Bedgebury Pinetum, but would be good if other bridleways or similar are known/good around here.

I used to ride in Battle Great Woods :D. My fave is Friston Forest - beech woods so nicer than conifer foreest, easy to ride for 2 hours, good parking, think it's TROT. The woods just north of Benenden are nice but aren't that big.

Join TROT and you can hack from Butchers Hole car park, Jevington. You will get a parking permit, there is lovely riding here, mostly woodland.
If you want company let me know as I have a TROT permit.
Also Plumpton college let you park there at weekends, double check with them first and you can ride up onto the downs from there.
