I'm hoping to get a second horse (happy hacker type) in the next couple of months and, when I do, to bring him/her and my first horse - who is currently on full livery at a English style yard - to the land I've bought next to my house - just under three acres with a barn/stables.

Problem is I have no experience of first hand day to day care and although I know the YO and YM where I am will be happy to help they are 20 mins drive away and very busy with their own horses so I don't want to take the p*ss!

So I've been thinking that it would be good to get a live-in helper for a month or two to help me get into a routine, hack out with me and generally advise me or what to do (and what not to do!).

I wouldn't be able to pay much but there would be free lodging, food and pocket money (and a chance to see Portugal) so I'm guessing it would be the sort of thing that would appeal to a student on summer break? Where would be the best place to advertise or look at adverts?

Might be worth a liitle look in the "situations wanted" section of the classified advertisements here and other horsey places .
It might not be necessary to advertise .
Hope you find a suitable person soon .
Teg :)

I am sure you will have people biting your hand off (for once I am wishing I was still a student and had the summers off to do as I please....!!!!)
