I have recently located to Bristol and due to various reasons I could not take my horse with me so she is now with a friend and will be sold later.
I would still like to keep my hand in it and ride 2-3 times a week. I am experienced rider having competed up to elementary dressage , hunter trials,
hunted with various packs etc. I am happy to pay a contribution but would like to have the opportunity to have lessons and maybe compete.

I have tried preloved but there mainly seems to be happy hackers or ponies on there. I

Any suggestions of where to look would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know any horsey people in the area which makes it much more difficult.

new bristol and southwest group is very busy and the most likely place. BUT be warned that it might make your teeth grind!
My sister is based in bristol and has had a couple of shares since there with horses of the sort you would be after - with quite a lot of sifting though! :).

Try Horsemart. IME you pay for what you get and a site where you have to pay to advertise tends to offer a better range. On the odd occasions I have to advertise for a sharer I also find I get a better quality of response through Horsemart.

Alternatively you can contact your local pony club or riding club. I know you are not looking for a pony - but Pony club has horses too! The local committee chair might know of something suitable - especially as it is rising exams when the older ones might need a break from horses to revise.

ester has it to a t! Sometimes however it is quite entertaining, although I do feel for admin at times! However there are often people looking for a sharer. Which area of Bristol are you?
